Exciting insights behind the scenes: Open day at Thermokon in Bischoffen
The guests had the opportunity to get to know our products in a small exhibition and familiarise themselves with our technology. We also provided information about training and career opportunities. We took this opportunity to present ourselves as an attractive and strong employer in the region.
On an area of 11,500 m², the equivalent of almost two football pitches, our experts guided visitors through the plant. The tours covered all the important stations - from the high-bay warehouse with 1,700 pallet spaces to material picking and the dispatch area through to the 6,000 m² production area, where employees work in nine different departments.
Our SMD and THT production lines, in which circuit boards are fitted with electronic components at high speed, attracted particular attention. Equally impressive was the presentation of our best-selling room controller ‘JOY’, which is used in many buildings around the world - here in our region, for example, in the Ernst Leitz Hotel in Wetzlar.
Another highlight was the presentation of our temperature cable sensors, which are installed worldwide in refrigerated counters of large food discounters, for example, or in heating systems and air-heat pumps.
In addition to numerous visitors from the region, we also welcomed representatives from local politics, including District Administrator Wolfgang Schuster and the mayors Marco Herrmann (Bischoffen) and Markus Deusing (Mittenaar). Their interest in our company and its contribution to regional economic development was greatly appreciated.
The entire proceeds from the event will be donated to the Wichernzwerge day care centre in Bischoffen and presented in the next few days.
Thermokon would like to thank all guests, employees and partners for their great interest and the consistently positive response.
